Since 2010, I have been a part time student at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education on the MEd ‘Educational Leadership and School Improvement’ course. This has been part funded by the Perse and my research on departmental effectiveness will hopefully be of value to the school. The course has been a challenging one, taught through a combination of lectures, seminars and individual research. I would recommend it to any teacher seeking to sharpen their research skills or to broaden their awareness of developments in education policy and thinking.
