David Bennett joined The Perse Upper School in 2016. In 2018, he begins his MEd at the University of Cambridge. David will be investigating the importance of positive teacher-pupil relationships in a case study of year 7 Latin lessons. David explains more:
“It is well acknowledged in research literature that teacher-student relationships are of considerable importance for pupil progress and well-being. Much of the research has concentrated on what teacher behaviours promote positive relationships and what the impact is of positive or negative relationships. I want to gain a clearer understanding of how students experience, perceive and articulate teacher-student relationships. I am hoping that gaining a better understanding of how students think about these relationships will ultimately allow me to be more successful in effectively managing these relationships.”
